Femininity

From the beginning of our time planning our trailer together, me and Tayler knew that we wanted our film to have a feminist twist to it, because both of us our females, and it is fairly unique to have two female directors on one film. When I googled female action/adventure directors, it came up with a full list on the online dictionary, Wikipedia, of action directors, and out of this list only one or two out of 63 directors were female. To continue this theme we decided that we would make the main superhero character a female, to contrast with the most popular superhero films with Batman, Superman, Spiderman and Wolverine. On comic vines Top 100 Ultimate List of Superheroes chart 75 of the superheroes were male and only 25 were female. A super heroine didn't appear in the list at all until number 16, which was Veronica Lodge, closely followed by Betty Cooper, Invisible Woman, Storm and Wonder Woman.
